A Galveston man is reluctantly filing a lawsuit against Compton Memorial Church of God in Christ because he claims that the church knew of a hole in which he tripped and fell, ultimately injuring his hip. The church’s insurance company alleged outright denial of the plaintiff’s claims. Collins was performing work on February 5, 2008 in a lot at the church when he walked backwards into the hole, hurting his hip.
"While on the property, the plaintiff stepped backward into a hole in the ground which contained a brick protrusion and fell," the suit says. Collins is now claiming that his hip was so badly injured that he required surgery to help it heal. Collins claims that the injury caused him pain, disfigurement, and mental anguish. He also added in the suit that he has amassed huge medical expenses. For any individual filing a personal injury lawsuit, contact the law firm of Laake Law for expert legal counsel today.
